This is a 10* GAME OF THE MONTH on the Red Wings.

Here's a great spot wager. Detroit is coming off a heart-breaking, but encouraging 7-6 OT home loss to the Lightning in their opener.

Detroit will now look to bounce back here and take advantage of a Canucks club that fought and clawed and came from behind to knock off the Flyers 5-4 in Philadelphia just last night.

The Canucks play better at home and I think they'll come into this contest predictably gassed.

Detroit clearly has the firepower and speed to hang with the best offensive clubs in the league and I do think that fatigue will play a factor here for the visiting side after last night's gruelling affair.

As primarily a "situational" handicapper at heart, this one definitely falls into my wheel house.

Great line value here on the hungry home side.
