10* TOP NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL - 162-135 MLB!
(MLB) St. Louis vs. Chi Cubs,
Total: 10.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 10.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOP NL TOTAL on the UNDER Cards/Cubs.
The Cardinals are on an epic run to end the season, as their win streak has reached 16 after yesterday's 8-5 victory.
I had a play on the UNDER in that one and it unfortunately came up short. The Cards won both games of the double-header on Friday off the Cubs as well, and both of those games also flew well OVER the posted number.
Both teams have been playing to several higher-scoring affairs of late, but everything points to Sunday's series finale as being more of a "DUEL."
The visitors go with Jake Woodford (3-3, 3.92 ERA), who was optioned on Friday, but immediately recalled Saturday. Since coming up from Triple-A in August, Woodford has allowed just three earned runs across 18.1 innings of work.
The home side goes with Keegan Thompson, who is 3-3 with a 3.41 ERA. He tossed two scoreless innnings in his first appearance after a ten-day stint on the IL. He's 3-1 with a 2.40 ERA in front of the home town crowd.
Finally, note that Chicago has seen the total go UNDER in eight of its last 11 after playing to five or more straight OVERS in a row.
This number is high, the play is the UNDER.
Good luck, NP
