Total: 9.50 | 105.00 Over
Result: Win
This is an 8* AL O/U SPECIAL on the OVER Rangers/Orioles.
Neither team has anything to play for here. Each is simply playing out the end of their campaigns after another disappointing effort.
They can't even play the role of spoiler today against each other.
Neither starting pitcher instills a ton of confidence. I believe each is going to make an early exit, which will ultimately help in pushing this total OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
Spencer Howard is 0-4 with a 6.86 ERA for the Rangers. He's off a decent performance against the White Sox on Saturday, going three scoreless. Note though he's on a short least, as he's completed four innings just once this year (previous to that he allowed six runs over one inning in a loss.)
The home side goes with Alexander Wells, who is 1-3 with a 7.96 ERA and who most recently was crushed for five runs over five innings in a no-decision to the Red Sox.
It was his second straight start of allowing five runs.
As I said, everything points to these two starters getting chased early and I expect that to result in this total flying OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
Good luck, NP
