When I first looked at this game last night, I liked the UNDER. My first thoughts were that I really liked these starting pitchers, but after last night's lower-scoring outcome, and considering some other relevant trends and situational information, I believe the sharp money on this contest is now on the OVER.
Chris Flexen and Cole Irvin have both been fantastic. These are two teams fighting for a wild card spot.
Oakland though has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 in trying to revenge back-to-back home losses against an opponent and in 14 of its last 21 after playing to five or more straight UNDERS in a row.
As I say, my first thoughts on Tuesday night about this game were that I liked the under, but the overwhelming situational and trend-based factors pointing to the OVER Thursday morning have firmly changed my mind.
