EARLIEST TOTAL (SPECIAL!) - 158-130 YTD!
(MLB) Chi White Sox vs. Detroit,
Total: 9.50 | 100.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 9.50 | 100.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* EARLIEST TOTAL on the OVER White Sox/Tigers.
I like the way this one sets up as a "slug-fest" on Tuesday afternoon.
Yesterday's game stayed UNDER the number, but everything points to these starters getting the hook early, which I believe will contribute to a higher-scoring contest.
Dallas Keuchel is 8-9 with a 5.23 ERA for the White Sox. He's been consistently inconsistent all year. He gave up two runs over six innings against the Angels on Wednesday. Previous to that though, he'd conceded at least four runs in five straight starts.
Keuchel is just 3-7 with a 6.08 ERA on the road.
The home side goes with Tyler Alexander, who is 2-3 with a 4.13 ERA, most recently getting shelled for four runs off five hits with two walks over five innings in a loss to the Rays on Thursday.
He's been decent overall, but note that he's a pedestrian 1-2 with a 4.58 ERA in front of the home town crowd this season.
These teams have been playing to some lower-scoring contests of late, but neither starter enters in good form. Finally, note that Detroit has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
This number is low, the play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
