EARLY SITUATIONAL SIDE - 67% LAST SUNDAY!
(NFL) Denver vs. Jacksonville,
Point Spread: 6.00 | -105.00 Jacksonville (Home)
Result: Loss
Point Spread: 6.00 | -105.00 Jacksonville (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* EARLY SITUATIONAL SIDE on the Jaguars.
The Broncos are off a 27-13 win over New York in Week 1, but I think they'll have their hands full here with a Jaguars' team looking to bounce back from a 37-21 loss to Houston as a 3.5-point favorite.
Denver got 264 yards and two touchdowns from Teddy Brigewater, while Melvin Gordon III had 101 yards and one TD rushing.
The Broncos did a good job defensively against a weak Giants offense, but I believe they'll have their hands full here against this hungry Jaguars side.
Trevor Lawrence finished 28 of 51 for 331 yards, three TD's and three INT's in his first game for the Jaguars. The Jaguars struggled defensively, but I say it's still too early to overreact.
And that's what this pick is all about, to not overreact. Urban Meyer is a good coach. Lawrence is a good QB. The Jaguars' defense isn't really that horrible.
Denver has a much "easier" game at home next week against the Jets. It's difficult to win on the road in the NFL. I'm not sure the Broncos have what it takes to not only win back-to-back games straight up, but also both times against the spread.
Look for the hungry home side to at the very least, keep this one competitive until the final moments.
Grab the points.
Good luck, NP
