This opening game features a couple of strong starting pitchers, and I expect them to garner most of the headlines in tomorrow's summaries of this contest.

Zach Wheeler is 13-9 with a 2.86 ERA for the Phillies, while Taijuan Walker is 7-9 with a 4.29 ERA for the Mets.

Wheeler won his third straight on Saturday by allowing one run over seven innings in a 6-1 victory over the Rockies.

He's also 3-1 with a 2.72 ERA in seven starts against New York lifetime.

Walker hasn't been as sharp of late, but he's 1-1 with a 3.29 ERA in five career outings against the Phillies and 4-3 with a 3.57 ERA at home.
