Total: 52.00 | -109.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* OPENING NIGHT TOP TOTAL on the UNDER Cowboys/Bucs.
The first thing that comes to mind when you think about these two teams is not defense.
It's offense. Dak Prescott and Tom Brady are definitely the focal points and identities of each club.
But on opening night, I think each is going to concentrate on establishing the run while on offense.
The Cowboys were 6-10 last year. The Bucs finished 11-5 in the regular season.
The Cowboys will see Prescott take the first snap under center, his first one in live action all season, as he did not play in the preseason at all. Last year Dallas averaged 24.7 PPG, while allowing 29.6.
They hired former Falcons' head coach Dan Quinn as their defensive coordinator though, and drafted LB Micah Parsons, so we can expect a big step up on the defensive side this season for Dallas.
Tampa averaged 30.8 PPG, and it conceded only 22.2. All their starters are returning on the defensive side of the ball.
The starters for both sides saw little to no action in this abbreviated preseason. I say that results in this opening night contest falling UNDER the number.
Good luck, NP
