This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PLAY on Rutgers.

This may not be the most high-profile game, but College Footbal is back and it's not about being a big prime time matchup or anything, it's about finding value where you can.

This is an interesting matchup, but I think it's one that favors Rutgers.

Temple was 1-6 last year, while Rutgers was 3-6.

I like Scarlet Knights head coach Greg Schiano though, and I think there is excitment in the air if you're a Rutgers Football fan.

Here's a great opening opponent to post a solid win against. Temple averaged just 19.9 points on 348.3 yards per game last year.

Riall Mitchell gets the start at quarterback for the Owls to open this season. Last year he played in three games and had 233 total yards passing.

Overall the Temple defense was poor. It allowed 37 points per game and it'll once again be the weak point for the Owls this season.

Rutgers is poised for dramatic improvement in my opinion after posting 26.7 points and allowing 32.1 last season.

Noah Verdal is back under center and he had 1,200 yards passing and nine touchdowns last year. The defense was the weak point last year, but with the majority of the starters returning this season, this is the one area which I believe will see the most improvement.

The Scarlet Knights are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five as a favorite.

With a full year under Schiano, I definitely think that Rutgers can cover this larger spread. This is a team that's hungry to get out on the field and it won't be worrying about being merciful.
