This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION TOTAL on the OVER Yanks/Royals.

I think the opener of this one sets up as a SLUG-FEST.

The Yanks go with the inconsistent Jameson Taillon, who is 7-4 with a 4.04 ERA. He most recently struck out ten and gave up three runs over six innings in a no-decision to the lowly Orioles last week.

After a shaky start with the Yanks, Taillon has actually turned things around considerably over the last month and a half. Despite that though, note that he's been bad on the road, going just 3-3 with a 5.33 ERA so far.

The Royals go with Carlos Hernandez, who is 3-1 with a 4.58 ERA. He's off a win over the White Sox, holding them to one run over five innings. He's been decent as a starter, but the sample size is still too small to draw any firm conclusions. I think he'll struggle against the hard-hitting Yankees.

New York has averaged 6.33 runs per game in its last three games agaisnt Kansas City. The Yanks are allow 4.13 runs per game on the road.

I am not convinced about either of these starters. Look for these offenses to garner most of the attention in tomorrow's summaries.
