(MLB) Kansas City vs. Toronto,
Total: 10.00 | 100.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 10.00 | 100.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Royals/Jays.
Toronto has seen the total go UNDER in four of its last five, including in yesterday's 6-4 series opening victory (snuck UNDER by a .5 run.)
The Royals have been playing much better of late, as they've won eight of their last ten. They come in having seen the total go UNDER in nine of their last ten, including in six in a row after yesterday's loss.
That's a lot of UNDERS hitting of late between both clubs, but I think the value has now finally swung the other way as far as the total is concerned on Saturday.
Mike Minor is 8-8 with a 5.32 ERA for the Royals. He is coming off a good outing against the White Sox, holding them two runs over six innings. Minor has probably pitched better than his record would indicate, but in one start vs. the Jays this year he gave up four runs off seven hits over five innings.
Alek Manoah is 2-1 with a 2.90 ERA for Toronto. He's just been activated from the ten day injured list, but hasn't thrown since July 9th. I'm expecting rest to lead to "rust" in this case.
Finally, note that KC has seen the total go OVER in eight of its last 11 after playing to five or more straight UNDERS in a row.
This one sets up beautifully as a "SLUGFEST." The play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
