This is a 10* TOP AL THURSDAY TOTAL on the UNDER Orioles/Tigers.

The Tigers are off a 17-14 win at Minnesota yesterday and they've now seen the total fly OVER in three straight.

The Orioles are off an 8-7 win over Miami at home yesterday. Baltimore has seen the total go OVER in two straight after seeing it go UNDER in three in a row.

Lots of OVERS going on between these two clubs, but I think the opener of this one finally sets up as a lower-scoring affair.

The Orioles go with Alex Wells (1-0, 4.35 ERA), who is off a win in his first career start, allowing three runs and striking out seven over six innings.

He'll be opposed by Casey Mize, who is 5-5 with a 3.65 ERA and who will look to atone for a 9-8 loss to the Royals on Saturday, as he gave up four runs over four innings. Over 104 innings of work Mize now owns a respectable 85:25 K:BB.

Finally, note that Detroit has seen the total go UNDER in seven of its last ten after scoring 12 or more runs in a road victory in its last outing.
