This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION TOTAL on the OVER Cubs/D-Backs.

The Cubs have taken the first two games of this series, winning 5-1 and 4-2. Both games went UNDER the posted number, but I believe the finale sets up as more of a slug-fest.

The Cubs go with Zach Davies, who is an unspectacular 5-6 with a 4.37 ERA.

Davies most recently allowed three runs off seven hits over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Saturday. It was a third straight start in which he's failed to work into the sixth inning. He has a poor 59:48 K:BB over 92.2 innings. He's just 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA on the road.

Merrill Kelly is 5-7 with a 4.46 ERA for the Diamondbacks. Note that he's 0-1 with a 5.09 ERA in all day games this season.

The Diamondbacks' offense is starving to break out of its rut and avoid the sweep, while the Cubs are looking to keep the momentum rolling.

Look for these starters to get chased early and for this total to fly OVER sooner, rather than later.
