(MLB) Cincinnati vs. Kansas City,
Total: 10.00 | -106.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 10.00 | -106.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOP INTERLEAGUE TOTAL on the OVER Reds/Royals.
The Reds just swept a series at home over the Cubs and I think they can keep their positive momentum rolling here.
All three games went UNDER the number though, and now that Cincinnati is on the road, I believe we'll see some more runs today out of the Reds.
The Royals have lost eight of their last ten. They'll be eager as well here after yesterday's 6-2 setback to the Royals.
Situationally it sets up well for a higher-scoring affair.
The Reds go with Vladimir Gutierrez (3-3, 4.93 ERA), who was rocked for six earned runs over 4.1 innings in a loss to the Padres in his last outing.
I think the rookie will struggle here on the road against this starving Royals' line-up.
Mike Minor is 6-6 with a 5.33 ERA for the Royals. He most recently gave up five runs over five innings in a loss to the Red Sox.
Note that he's just 3-4 with a 5.59 ERA at home as well.
Finally, note that the Reds have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of their last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
This number is low, the play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
