10* TOP SUNDAY TOTAL (HUGE 82-64 ALL MLB YTD!)
(MLB) Chi White Sox vs. Detroit,
Total: 9.00 | -114.00 Under
Result: Loss
Total: 9.00 | -114.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOP SUNDAY TOTAL on the UNDER White Sox/Tigers.
Both games of this series have flown OVER to start, but everything points to a bit more of a "duel" in the finale.
Chicago won 8-2 on Friday and then the Tigers exploded for the 11-5 upset yesterday. Detroit has seen the total go OVER in three of its last four and of course in the last two straight, while Chicago has now seen the total go OVER in six straight.
The White Sox go with Lucas Giolito, who is 6-5 with a 3.84 ERA and who most recently gave up three runs off six hits over six innings in a victory over Minnesota.
Over 93.2 innings of work, Giolito owns a sharp 111:30 K:BB, and this is a great matchup for him.
The Tigers counter with Matt Manning (1-2, 8.16), who has two poor outings under his belt, and one decent one. He was rocked for nine runs over four innings in a loss to Cleveland in his last outing.
This play is less about Manning and more about Giolito, but the bottom line is as well that Detroit has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of their last 11 off a home victory in which they scored ten or more runs in.
I look for this one to comfortably stay UNDER in the end.
Good luck, NP
