This is a 10* TOP THURSDAY NBA PLAY on the LA Clippers on the moneyline.
Despite Chris Paul playing for the Suns here, and despite Kawhi Leonard sitting out for the Clippers, I like Paul George and the home side to find a way to deliver tonight in Game 3.
Phoenix has been winning without Paul, and one has to wonder if he's even back to 100% health after dealing with COVID. Certainly, he's going to need some time to get up to "game speed" after being out for nearly three weeks.
The Clippers actually rallied late to take the lead in Game 2, before DeAndre Ayton delivered a clutch alley-oop with no time remaining on the clock. Devin Booker though as poor, going just 5 of 16 from the floor.
George had 26 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Clippers. LA is a lot better on its own floor and it's been down 0-2 in all of its other series previous to this and then advancing.
It seems unlikely that LA will be able to climb out of another 0-2 hole against the Suns, but at the same time (whether Leonard is playing or not), I don't expect the Clippers to get swept in this series either.
And so Game 3 to me is the biggest opportunity LA has in trying to get back into it and I expect it to throw its best shot this evening.
Forget the spread, the play is LA on the MONEY LINE.
Good luck, NP
