(MLB) Milwaukee vs. Arizona,
Total: 9.50 | -120.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 9.50 | -120.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOP MONDAY TOTAL on the UNDER Brewers/D-Backs.
Both teams have been playing to some high-scoring games of late, which we now feel swings the value the other way as far as the total is concerned in the opener of this three-game series.
The Brewers have seen the total go OVER in six of their last ten, including in three stragiht. The last two have been victories on the road in Colorado, but with the shift in venue, this sets up as more of a "duel" in my opinion.
Arizona has seen the total go OVER in eight of ten, including in two straight. The Diamondbacks enter having lost 17 in a row.
Both of these underachieving teams are starving for a victory.
So are both of these starting pitchers.
The vistors go with Brett Anderson (2-4, 4.24 ERA) who comes in off a no-decisoin to the Reds, unfortunate as he went seven scoreless with nine strikeouts. Over 46.2 innings he owns a 30:15 K:BB, but this latest effort was signficant and there's no reason not to think he can't build off it.
Merrill Kelly (2-7, 5.40) is coming off a loss Wednesday against the Giants, allowing four runs over three innings. Kelly won't be lacking for motivation obviously, but note that he's definitely been better at home (3.99 ERA), than on the road (6.81).
I think the stage is set for these two starters to battle deep, and I look for this total to ultimately stay UNDER at the end.
Good luck, NP
