10* AFTERNOON TOP TOTAL (TIME TO BOUNCE BACK!)
(MLB) Detroit vs. LA Angels,
Total: 9.50 | -118.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 9.50 | -118.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* AFTERNOON TOP TOTAL on the UNDER Tigers/Angels.
The Angels have seen the total go OVER in nine straight, while the Tigers have seen the total go OVER in four straight.
I've played the UNDER in each of the last two games and while those two came up short, I do now finally expect a lower-scoring contest here in the finale of this four-game set.
Yesterday's loss was particularly frustrating, as the game was sitting at 6-3 heading into the bottom of the eighth, before the Angels then tacked on two meaningless runs for an 8-3 final.
Detroit turns to Casy Mize (4-4, 3.49 ERA) who has been a consistent bright spot for Detroit this year. He most recetnly allowed three runs over seven innings in a win over KC.
Mize has now conceded three earned runs or fewer in nine straight outings.
His counterpart Dylan Bundy (1-7, 6.98) catches a break finally today facing this poor Tigers' offense. Bundy's coming off another crummy outing, allowing seven runs over 2.1 innings. Bundy isn't as bad as his numbers would indicate obviously and the only way to go is "up" from here.
Finally, note that the Tigers have seen the total dip UNDER the number in eight of their last 11 after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row.
This number is high, the play is the UNDER.
Good luck, NP
