(NBA) New York vs. Atlanta,
Total: 211.00 | -108.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 211.00 | -108.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* FRIDAY NIGHT TOP TOTAL on the OVER Knicks/Hawks.
The first two games of this series have gone UNDER the number, but I think that the shift in venue, combined with the overall competitive nature of what I expect to be Game 3 to be like, will indeed help in driving this total OVER before the final horn sounds.
For a second straight game, the Knicks got out to a very slow start against the Hawks in Game 2, but second half adjustments saw the team pull away. Julius Randle finally made an appearance for the Knicks in the second-half as well, and I think he'll be able to carry that momentum over here as well.
The Hawks can ill afford to let the Knicks controle the tempo of Game 3, instead they'll once again look to stretch this tough New York defense in transition.
Finally, note that ATL has seen the total go OVER the number in seven of its last ten home games in trying to avenge a road loss vs. an opponent in which the game total fell UNDER the number.
When taking into account all of the above situational and statistical information, everything points to Game 3 finally flying well OVER this smaller number.
Good luck, NP
