This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SIDE on the Twins.
These teams and starters are all pretty evenly matched, but I think the "hungrier" home side will deliver here. Minnesota has last eight of its last ten, including five in a row. That includes a 6-1 setback to these very A's here yesterday in the series opener.
Enough is enough obviously in Minnesota.
The A's have won two of their last three, but I think they're in the wrong place at the wrong time today.
Cole Irvin (3-4, 3.29 ERA) gave up three runs off four hits over six innings in a loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday. So far almost everything has gone right for the rookie, as he's been a pleasant surprise to this struggling Oakland rotation.
Jose Berrios is 3-2 with a 3.49 ERA. He's coming off a no-decision vs. Detroit, allowing two runs over six innings.
I think Berrios at home is the correct call, as he leads the charge for a bounce-back revenge victory for the desperate home side.
Lay the price, the play is the TWINS.
Good luck, NP
