This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION TOTAL on the OVER Phillies/Nationals.

Philadelphia has seen the total go UNDER in two straight, including in yesterday's 6-2 win over the Nationals. Overall the Phillies average 4.19 RPG, and their collective ERA sits at 4.22.

The Nationals won't be lacking for motivation here, as they've lost six of their last seven, including three in a row. They've seen the total go UNDER in three straight.

These are two offenses hungry to plate some runs. Both Zack Wheeler of the Phillies and Jon Lester of the Nationals have been decent to this point, but I believe they're in the wrong place at the wrong time here.

Note that Wheeler has been rocked hard by the Nationals in the past, as he's 6-11 with a 4.64 ERA in 20 starts vs. them.

Lester is 8-1 with a 1.92 ERA In 11 starts vs. the Phillies. So far he's 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA. Hard to say too many negative things about the veteran, but as stated, his early numbers appear unsustainable and I believe he's in for a short outing today.

I look for these starters to get the hook early and expect that to help in pushing this total OVER as the game comes down the stretch.
