This is a 6* RUN-LINE SATURDAY RELEASE on the Jays.
The Jays last 10-4 last night. With their "ace" on the mound, I expect a much tighter game here, one which I see being decided late, or even in extra frames.
Steven Matz is 4-2 with a 4.78 ERA for the Jays this season. Matz looks to rebound from his last start vs. Oakland where he allowed five runs over five innings.
Matz though enters with a sharp 33:10 K:BB.
Cristian Javier is 0-0 with a 1.75 ERA and 30:8 K:BB. Regression has already begun for Javier after a blistering start though, as he most recently alowed three runs off four hits in a no-decision vs. the Rays in his last outing.
I like Matz to easily match Javier today and in a scenario like that, invariably the value swings to the undervalued underdog.
I'm playing the JAYS on the RUN-LINE.
Good luck, NP
