(MLB) Toronto vs. Houston,
Total: 9.00 | 100.00 Under
Result: Loss
Total: 9.00 | 100.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* AL TOP FRIDAY TOTAL on the UNDER Jays/Astros.
Both teams have been playing to some high-scoring affairs of late, but I expect the opener of this three-game set to fall UNDER the number once it's finished.
Toronto is off a 10-4 win at Oakland. The Jays have won two straight, both have gone OVER.
Houston has seen the total go OVER in four straight. It most recently enters off a 7-4 win at New York, going 1-2 in the Big Apple overall.
Ross Stripling is 0-1 with a 6.39 ERA for the Jays. Stripling though without question comes in off his best start of the year, allowing two runs and a walk with four K's over five innings in an unfortuante no-decision vs. the Braves. Stripling now owns a respectable 14:4 K:BB and there's no reason not to believe that he won't continue to progress here.
Jose Urquidy is 2-2 with a 3.71 ERA, but like his counterpart, he's also been getting sharper as the season has progressed, coming in off his second straight win, givnig up no runs over seven innings in a victory over the Rays.
Expect Stripling and Urquidy to battle into the latter frames and for this total to fall UNDER in the end.
Good luck, NP
