This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SUPER PLAY on the Tigers.
This will be the second game of the double-header, as Wednesday's game was postponed. Here's a great spot to pull the trigger on the RUN LINE option with Detroit's bonafide ace on the mound
It's a seven inning game, and that benefits the Tigers and Boyd here. Boyd is 2-2 with a 1.82 ERA and he's coming off a tough loss on Saturday vs. the Royals, giving up two runs off three hits over eight innings. Over 34.2 innings of work, Boyd has 22 K's.
His counterpart is Dylan Cease, who gave up two runs and three walks over 3.1 innings in a no-decision vs. Texas in his last outing. Cease owns a pedestrian 4.15 ERA and 20:12 K:BB thus far.
Detroit has the starting pitcher on the hill in this second game to win outright, but in a game which I see being decided late, or even in extras, let's lay the reasonable price for the extra 1.5 runs in our back pocket.
The play is DETROIT on the RUN LINE (in Game 2.)
Good luck, NP
