I think the Braves have a shot at winning this game outright. That said, this one could easily see extra innings and in a case like that, I'm laying the price for the extra 1.5 runs in my back pocket.

With that awkward first series out of the way though, ATL looks to settle down and be much more competitive in the opener of this three-game series in the Nation's capital.
Drew Smyly is coming off a big year and decent spring for the Braves and I think he's a "wash" here vs. Max Scherzer, who is not the same pitcher that he was in 2017.
The Nationals are coming off a weird COVID issue to open the season and I think they'll struggle with consistency to start.
