Total: 7.50 | -103.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER Rays/Marlins.
The Rays held on for a 1-0 win over the Marlins yesterday and while tonight's contest will likely be competitive as well, we're expecting a few more runs to cross the plate this time around.
Both Pablo Lopez of the Marlins and Ryan Yarbrough of the Rays are coming off big years and decent springs.
Lopez is 1-2 with a 4.24 ERA in three career starts vs. Tampa Bay, while Yarbrough is 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA in three career appearances vs. Miami.
Miami though has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 home games in trying to revenge a shutout home loss vs. an opponent.
Clearly Marlins manager Don Mattingly remains confident: "We feel like we're capable of beating anyone, and that's a good thing," he said after last night's setback. "I like that belief."
Both line-ups feature plenty of hitting talent and we're expecting those hitters to be the main story lines in tomorrow's summaries.
The play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
