This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION MONDAY AFTERNOON SIDE PLAY on the Sooners.
Oklahoma snuck by Missouri 72-68 in the Opening round, and with nothing to lose here as a big dog, I like the Sooners to keep this one interesting.
Gonzaga annihilated Norfolk State by 43 in its opener. Crushing Norfolk State is one thing, but hammering the Sooners, who have had to play against the likes of WVU, Kansas, Texas and Alabama, is obviously quite another.
Gonzaga is the better team in this fight, but the Sooners are better in one area than the Bulldogs, and that's in rebounding, as Oklahoma is the 12th best team in the nation in limiting its opponent any second chance opportunities, while being ranked 82nd nationally in creating their own.
Devion Harmon isn't going to be playing today for the Sooners, but Oklahoma is deep and he didn't play last time out either.
Are we calling for an outright upset? No, we're not. But this one has all the makings of a much more competitive battle than what this spread would suggest.
Grab the points.
Good luck, NP
