This is a 10* GAME OF THE WEEK on the Flyers.

Philadelphia is going to be risking life and limb here to try and get a victory here after dropping two in a row to the Capitals.

The losses pushed it out of playoff contention in the competitive East Conference.

A strength of the Flyers in the early going was their defense and goaltending. That however has been their weak point of late.

A date for the Rangers is just what the doctor ordered to get back on track though.

Philly's offense though remains one of the best in the league, averaging 3.2 GPG.

The Rangers had lost three in a row before an inexplicable 4-0 win over the Bruins in their last game.

New York's defense and goaltending remains a strength, but note that it's still just 1-4 in its last five as a home dog and 0-6 in its last six when playing the third game of a 3-in-4 scenario.

The Flyers on the other are a near-perfect 11-2 in their last 12 after allowing five or more goals in their previous game.

I like Philadelphia to step up here after back-to-back losses. All things considered, a great price on this one.
