10* TOTAL OF THE YEAR (MICHIGAN/MICHIGAN STATE!)
(NCAAB) Michigan vs. Michigan State,
Total: 136.00 | -109.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 136.00 | -109.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE YEAR On the OVER Michigan/MSU.
It's the final game of the year. Regular season that is. The Wolverines are 19-2 overall.
Michigan bounced back with a 69-50 win over the Spartans on Thursday at home, after losing to Illinois.
The odds are against Michigan State in the rematch here, but if it could manage to pull off a victory, it would help immensely in its bid for a spot in the Big Dance.
If the Spartans have any hopes in this game, they'll have to get their offense going, as they've played to three sraight UNDERS, going just 1-2 SU in the process.
Michigan has already earned the Big Ten regular season conference crown, but it can ill afford to take the foot off the gas now as it looks to lock down the No. 1 regional seed in the Big Dance.
This total is a little too low now. Yes, neither team scores a lot normally, but the circumstances/situation definitely point to a wide-open shootout, rather than a defensive affair in our opinion.
But note as well that the Spartans have seen the total go OVER in eight of their last 11 in trying to revenge an in-season road loss to an opponent in which they scored 50 or less points in.
The situation and the trends both point to the OVER as the correct call here.
Good luck, NP
