This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE TOTAL OF THE MONTH On the OVER Stars/Lightning.

Tampa Bay won the Stanley Cup over the Dallas Stars last year in six games.

Both teams have been pretty good this year and it would not in fact be the difficult to write a convincing argument for either side to win.

Dallas though will be the hungrier team in this fight, as it comes in having lost eight of its last ten. The Stars most recently beat Florida 3-0, before then losing 3-2 in their last outing.

After seeing the total go UNDER in three straight though, we expect a much more spirited effort from the Stars this evening as they try to get back into the winners circle, while also avenging last year's Stanley Cup loss. It's a great play from a motivational stand point.

Tampa Bay has seen the total go UNDER in five straight. It's won three in a row, most recently a 3-1 victory at home over Carolina, but note that the Bolts have seen the total go OVER in ten of their last 14 home games after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.

The stage is set for a shootout, look for this total to eventually eclipse the posted number.
