This is a 10* GAME OF THE MONTH on the Washington Capitals.
This is a strange NHL season to say the least. Strategies that I've used in the past aren't working the same, due to the overall strangeness of the schedule for the most part.
The Insiders Room Discord though absolutely loves this play on Washington, as we're expecting washington to bounce back from its 3-2 OT loss to these very Penguins in this building just two nights ago.
The Capitals are on the road for five straight after this, putting added incentive to try and finish up strong here in friendly confines as well.
Pittsburgh's probably been better than most thought it would be this season, as it enters having won seven of its last ten, including three in a row.
The Penguins hate the Capitals and it's hard to imagine them "looking past" them at any point, but with a tough two-game set at Long Island up next, that is also a possibility here as well.
Washington's offense is as potent as ever, but it's defense has been the weak point. That said, the Capitals looked a lot better in their last outing, losing OT to the Pens and I think they absolutely bring that same intensity here in this revenge scenario.
Note as well that the Capitals are 7-2 in their last nine in trying to revenge an OT home loss to an opponent.
The final clincher here for us? The price! A great one.
The play is WASHINGTON!
Good luck, NP
