This is a 10* TOP CONSENSUS CLUB TOTAL on the Wild/Avs OVER.
Most thought Colorado would be one of the best teams in the league this year, and those people were right.
Colorado is deep and it's got great defensive and goaltending. The Avs can score with the best of them, but they prefer to play more of a "trap" style of game where they control the pace and wear other teams down and wait for them to make a mistake.
This style of play invariably leads to many UNDERS, but after seeing the UNDER hit in five straight, and off a humbling 3-0 loss to Las Vegas, I look for Colorado to really open things up here as it looks to get back on track.
The last time these teams played was back on February 1st and the Avs managed a 2-1 win, so the Wild play with revenge here.
Minnesota's offense is now rolling along, as the Wild have won three straight, scoring 14 goals in the process (and that was after getting blanked 4-0 by the Kings, a humbling defeat which spurred this large offensive outburst and win streak.)
As I said, I'm expecting a faster-paced wide-open affair and I expect that to translate into offensive production on the ice.
The play is the OVER!
Good luck, NP
