The Lightning destroyed Detroit 5-1 in their last outing.
Detroit is 2-7, its only two wins have come at home over Chicago.
I think Tampa comes out complacent here finally though, and it gets caught looking ahead to three whole nights off, before a four-game road trip at Nashville and Florida.
Detroit has some talent. Thomas Greiss is 0-6-2 with a respectable 2.99 GAA given the circumstances. Calvin Pickard is now the backup. Tyler Bertuzzi has five goals and three other players have four goals.
Detroit is also 5-2 in its last seven after allowing five or more goals in a four goals or greater loss to an opponent in its last outing.
I'm looking for the Wings to keep this one competitive late.
