This is a 10* BLOWOUT on Appalachian State.
The Mountaineers finished 8-3, while the Mean Green was 4-5.
UNT is only in a bowl game of course because of the different COVID year/format etc and I think it's going to struggle to keep pace with Appalachian State as the game comes down the stretch.
UNT averages a decent 35.1 PPG, but it concedes a very poor 41.3.
Appalachian State on the other hand averages 31.8 PPG, while allowing just 19.3.
The Mountaineers' competition has been much tougher as well.
The Mean Green's defensive issues will be magnified here vs. this elite App State team. UNT may stick around in the first half, but look for the "better" team to pull away in the second.
