This is an 8* SUPER-SPECIAL on UTSA.
Oregon State is 2-3. The Beavers enter having lost three games by a combined eight points.
Most recently the Beavers come off a heart-wrenching 87-86 OT loss to Portland State.
UTSA is 2-2 and it's looking for its first win vs. a Div. 1 school. Most recently the Roadrunners posted a 91-62 win over subdivision member Sul Ross State University.
UTSA has a game-changing player though in Jhivvan Jackson, who averages 18.7 PPG. Overall UTSA averages 79.5 PPG, while allowing 79.8.
The Beavers are averaging 79.8 PPG and allowing 65.4.
But I think Oregon State gets caught looking ahead to its X-Mas break, as this will be its final game before a December 31st matchup vs. Stanford.
Oregon State won this game 88-78 last year, but I expect a much more competitive battle this time around. I'm not calling for an outright upset, but this one has all the makings of a classic "nail biter" in my opinion.
I'm grabbing the points!
Good luck, NP
