THE INSIDERS ROOM'S 10* VERY EARLY BIG TEN BEATDOWN!
(NCAAF) Nebraska vs. Iowa,
Point Spread: 14.00 | -111.00 Nebraska (Away)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 14.00 | -111.00 Nebraska (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* BEATDOWN on Nebraska.
Iowa enters off a relatively simple 41-21 win at Penn State, but with a tougher game at Illinois next week, I think the home side takes the foot off the gas in the second half, leaving the backdoor open for the hungry Huskers to sneak in through down the stretch.
Nebraska has faced some difficult competition in the early going, losing 52-17 to Ohio State and 21-13 to Northwestern. Nebraska was then able to beat Penn State at home.
Iowa started 0-2, but it's since gone 3-0, with wins over Michigan State, Minnesota and Penn State. Considering the form of these three teams, we also have to take the Hawkeyes win/loss record with a grain of salt as well in my opinion.
Whether it's Luke McCaffrey or Adrian Martinez, we like Nebraska to keep this one close in the second half.
The Hawkeyes offense has been decent, its defense quite good.
That said, note that Iowa is just 2-7 ATS in its last nine after back-to-back SU victories.
Grab the points, expect a solid back door cover once the final whistle sounds!
Good luck, NP
