This is a SUPER SPECIAL on UMass.
UMass had last week off and while I'm not predicting an outright win or anything (obviously), I do think this is too many points as I expect FAU to take the foot off the gas after jumping out to a sizeable lead.
Winning leads to complacency after a while and after winning three straight and four of five, I think the Owls get caught looking past their lowly opponent today to their remaining two games on the road Middle Tennessee and USM.
UMass is an independent and it's only playing four games this year. It finishes its season against Liberty, so it's definitely going to go 0-4 straight up, but the conditions are right for a solid cover on the road here in my opinion.
The Owls offense isn't anything to write home about, as it averages only 323 yards per game. Defensively they've been strong in allowing only 323.2 YPG.
I think UMass gets some points on the board and covers easily with this large spread, as everything points to FAU taking the foot off the gas in the second half.
Grab the points!
Good luck, NP
