Eastern Michigan lost a tough 27-23 Week 1 matchup to Kent State, while Ball State lost 38-21 to Miami Ohio.
EMU looked terrible in the first half last week, turning the ball over on downs, throwing an INT and missing a field goal, before QB Preston Hutchinson and company recovered to almost pull off the upset in the second.
It was the opposite for Ball State, which looked decent in the first half vs. the RedHawks, before then allowing three unanswered major scores in the third quarter, en route the blowout beatdown.
I'm banking on EMU carrying over its momentum from that second half and note that it's 21-6 ATS in its last 27 on the road.
Ball State's inconsistencies on the defensive side have been exposed and note that it's just 12-25 ATS in its last 37 at home anyways.
I'm grabbing the points and expecting this one to come down to the wire!
