THE INSIDERS ROOM'S 10* MONDAY NIGHT TOTAL 'BLOOD-BATH!' (CARDS/'BOYS!)
(NFL) Arizona vs. Dallas,
Total: 55.50 | -107.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 55.50 | -107.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOOD-BATH on the UNDER Cards/Cowboys.
When you make a play on the total, what do you base it on? Some simply look at the offensive and defensive numbers from each side and make a prediction like that.
I always look at those numbers, but I also look at the overall "situation" that each team finds itself coming into the contest.
Dallas comes in as one of the highest scoring teams in the league, but its defense has been terrible.
But the Cowboys lost starting QB Dak Prescott to injury last weekend and while his backup Andy Dalton is as experienced as they come and should fill in nicely as a game manager, to expect this high-powered offense to duplicate its early ridiculous numbers is asking a lot in my opinion.
The Cardinals are 3-2 after a 30-10 road win over the hapless Jets. Arizona isn't an "explosive" offense, but its been sharp defensively in conceding just 20.4 PPG so far. It also has 14 sacks, which doesn't bode well for Dalton.
The last thing Arizona wants to do is turn this into a shootout. This number is much too high, we're hammering the under!
Good luck, NP
