The second half of the season starts for a pair of NL teams in the City of Brotherly Love. Chicago dropped nine straight games before edging the Mets 3-2 in the finale of their four-game set Sunday. Philadelphia has gotten on a roll since firing Joe Girardi, going 27-14 under the guidance of Rob Thompson to push back into a tie for the final wild-card spot in the National League entering Thursday. While Justin Steele has pitched well of late, posting a 2.98 ERA in his last seven starts, the fact remains that the Cubs haven't produced a whole lot at the plate. They've tallied 28 runs in those games but 15 came in starts against Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Philadelphia has momentum with a sweep on the road over the Marlins and they have enough production at the dish to get the win. Take Kyle Gibson and the Phils in this contest.
