On Monday night against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Miami Dolphins will try to move past a week full of headlines involving alleged internal harassment between players and a league investigation into the matter. On the ground, the Dolphins average 97.6 YPG, which gives them the 22nd-ranked ground attack in the league. At 0-8, the Bucs bright spot is their 18th-ranked rushing game, which is averaging 107.5 YPG. TB is led by quarterback Mike Glennon, running back Mike James, and wide receiver Vincent Jackson to lead the team. With the exception of Jackson, that triumvirate doesn't exactly inspire confidence – though admittedly James' 158-yard performance against the Seattle Seahawks last week was impressive. Speaking of which, the Bucs put up a heck of a fight against the Seahawks in Week 9. They were up 21-0 at one point, but they ended up losing 27-24 in overtime. It seems the players are behind head coach Greg Schiano. The Bucs are rebuilding, and they were competitive in 6 of their 8 losses this season. There are just too many distraction with Miami, Incognito, and the coaching staff and the Dolphins lost 2 of their starting offensive linemen and had to replace them with practice squad players. The Bucs are not as bad as their record indicates, and they're bound to upset a team at some point this season. Their defense is doing their part, and if James can run for as much as he did against a stiff Seattle defense, well there just might be hope for the offense yet. Its a MNF game and I like TB to get their 1st win on Primetime TV.
