Yankees took a close (2-1) game last night and I think they are able to parlay that into winning game 2 as well. Clark Schmidt is on the bump for New York and the righty has been fantastic. He has one start back from the IL where he was great against the Cubs giving up 0 runs. Schmidt has a microscopic (1.57) ERA since May the 4th with a 35 to 8 strikeout to walk ratio.

Red Sox starter Houck has lost his last 4 decisions. He has been hit around both times facing this Yankees lineup and has had major control issues, giving up 8 walks in his last 9 innings facing NYY. Back the Yankees here on Friday night!
