This is a tough spot for the Orange as they are off of their first loss of the season, so the chances of a perfect season are gone. They fell apart late vs a tough Clemson team who is very physical while ND had an easy game vs UNLV.

Also gone may be their chance of winning the ACC, plus they have a very tough road game against Pittsburgh on deck.

This line is suspect as you have Syracuse 6-1, ranked 16th in the country, and only a -2.5 favorite. I think Syracuse has a let down here as they come off an emotional loss allowing 17 unanswered points to take away their perfect season. Notre Dame won 4 of their last 5 and have only allowed more than 26 points once this season.

The Irish still have hopes of a solid bowl berth and a win over a ranked squad will help them out a lot. Notre Dame has a good ground game and a strong defense and they are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
