We go with the underdog here in the Yankees because we see great value here. The Yanks had 17 strikeouts yesterday compared to just 2 for Houston so I think the bats will come alive tonight.
NY starter Severino has a 3.26 era, but he gave up 8 hits last game to the Indians. He hasn't given up 8 hits since May when he faced the White Sox which puts him for a prime bounce-back. The Astros go with Valdez pitches against a Yankees team who he gave up 3 walks to last time and he has certainly been hittable giving up 11 hits to the Orioles, 7 walks in his last 3 games and 9 hits to the lowly Rays as it seems his arm is getting tired. We like the Yankees here as they are also 28-14 their last 42 vs a left-handed starter.
