This one is a good pitching matchup between a pair of guys that are at the front of their respective rotations. Alcantara was pitching well before getting roughed up by the Mariners in his last start. He hopes to bounce back here but it’s tough to have faith in the Marlins’ lineup at this point in time.
Darvish pitches well at Petco Park and should get the win. The Padres have gotten their bats going after a slow start to the year as they continue to battle without Fernando Tatis Jr. After seeing the Marlins lose three straight to the Diamondbacks and again last night, it’s tough to trust the Marlins here. Alcantara keeps them in it but the Padres’ lineup gets to the Marlins’ bullpen to deliver a late victory on Friday night.
