The Texas Longhorns enter this game in a bit of a slump as they are in the middle of a three-game losing streak including a seven-point road loss against the Baylor Bears in their last game. In that game, Texas' defense struggled as it allowed 31 points while letting the opposition record 430 total yards.
After the game Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian discussed his team's mindset moving forward. and had a closed door meeting the next day.

Texas has athletes on both sides of the ball but has to put it together after a focused week of practices.
Leading the Longhorns offensively is sophomore running back Bijan Robinson who has looked unstoppable this season as he has recorded 967 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. In addition, he has recorded 211 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns as he has showcased his dual-threat ability on a regular basis.
