I think Vegas and the people are overreacting to how bad the East Carolina Panthers looked last week. I fully expect EC to bounce back here at home.

Meanwhile, the Gamecocks defense was one of the worst in the nation last year and is transitioning to an entire new system. East Carolina’s offense is experienced and explosive and should have the ability to move the ball both through the air and on the ground against the Gamecocks defense.

I will back the Pirates as a home underdog here and think they can full off the upset at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
