Tyler Mahle is coming off his worst start of the season with six earned runs on nine hits over five innings. He hadn't allowed more than two earned runs in his five previous starts. The Reds have the much better pitching matchup here, and I expect them to come out and respond vs the punch-less Pirates who are off a rare win. Pirates are -30 in run differential the worst in MLB.
Mahle should put together a solid performance to lead his team to victory on Monday night.
