San Diego sends out another one of their prospects tonight as Pedro Avila makes his debut. He is a solid prospect who was projected as a back of the rotation type, but it looks as though his stock has been rising with improved command of his fastball. Avila has a very good curve and that's always a good thing against hitters who have no book on him. The Padres are hitting the ball as well.

Control is the key for Godley and he hasn't had much of it thus far. Godley does not usually go deep into games and the Snakes bullpen got taxed last night. The Padres really have the look of a better team than they've been for quite some time and I think they're the better team here.
