5*
(NCAAB) Northeastern vs. Kansas,
Point Spread: 7.00 | -105.00 Northeastern (Away)
Result: Loss
The Huskies finished second in their conference regular season standings with a record of 14-4. They then coasted to the final where they met number 1-seed Hofstra. After a monster first half, they did allow the Pride to come storming back, but managed to hold on for the automatic bid.
NE is a balanced team and Kansas has struggled this year.

Northeastern can win this one outright if they can knock down a high percentage of their threes. The Jayhawks haven't been a good defensive team and Northeastern is a good offensive team for the most part.

Over the last five games Northeastern is averaging 79.4 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field.

I don't think the Jayhawks defense will have any answer and that will keep it close.

The Huskies come in shooting the long ball at 38.8%. This is 16th best in all of division one basketball, and it can almost be said that they live or die by the three. In their conference championship game, the Huskies were red hot from three, shooting 14 of 31 for 45.2%. While the Kansas team they will be playing is better defensively, this shooting performance shows they can get hot at any time. I'm on the underdog Northeastern here in this one.
